How to assign drive letters to VSS shadow copies... on Windows XP !

Adi Oltean's has an excellent article on his weblog about mounting a drive letter to a shadow copy device.

He reports that on Windows Server 2003 there is an API(Called ExposeSnapshots()) which you can use to assign a drive letter to a shadow copy device. The ExposeSnapshots Api in not implemented in Windows XP though. But by using the program DOSDEV.exe you can also assign drive letters to a shadow copy device in Windows XP.
